THIS YEAR’S GUIDE

The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #36is packed with new and exciting material about comics. It includes a brand new, fully illustrated introduction, an interview with All-Star Batman artist Jim Lee by Spies, Vixens and Masters of Kung Fu author Michael Kronenberg, a feature article on comics of the ‘70s by Back Issue editor Michael Eury, and more. The Guide remains the most complete listing of comics from the 1500s to the present. This year’s Guide features a choice of covers by John K. Snyder III (Doctor Mid-Nite) and superstar George Pérez. Both covers are presently available in softcover and hardcover editions at your local comic book shop or directly from Gemstone Publishing. Supplies on the hardcover editions are limited. Additionally, there is a Jim Lee Batman cover edition available in bookstores or from Random House. This cover is also featured on The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, a limited edition which releases in May in comic shops.

ABOUT GRADING

Before a comic book’s true value can be assessed, its condition or state of preservation must be determined. In all cases, the better the condition of the comic, the more desirable and valuable the book will be. Comic book grading has evolved over the past several decades from a much looser interpretation of standards in the beginning to the very tight professional scrutiny in use by the market today. In recent years, grading criteria have become even tighter. Click here to Read More.
